Cleon Turner is a true believer in equality for LGBT people. He has fought for LGBT issues in and out of office. Cleon is currently serving his first term at the State House. His opponent is the same man who ran against him two years ago. His opponent is very anti-gay and has compared having a relationship with someone of the same sex to having a relationship with "a cat or a dog". This seat was represented by Shirley Gomes, a Republican who is retiring this year. Shirley is an opponent of LGBT rights. Sarah Peake is a Selectman in Provincetown. She is an out lesbian. If elected, Sarah would fight hard for the LGBT community. Her opponent is also openly gay. Sadly though, he opposes equal rights for LGBT people.
